Nothing leaves your Mac.

The short version: Caps doesn't collect, transmit, or sell any of your data. There's nothing to collect it with.

The app

  • No uploads. Caps reads image files from the screenshot folder you choose. They are never sent to us or anyone else.
  • No analytics or telemetry. Caps doesn't contain tracking, crash-reporting, or advertising code.
  • No accounts. There's nothing to sign up for, and Caps doesn't know who you are.
  • Local preferences only. Your chosen folder, pins, cleared Caps, and settings are stored on your Mac so Caps can remember them.

Your files

Caps never moves or deletes screenshots on its own. Clearing Caps and the retention setting only hide items from the list. Annotations are saved as a new file. When you choose Delete Cap, the file goes to the macOS Trash, where you can still recover it. Anything you copy, drag, or share goes only where you send it.

macOS permissions

macOS may ask you to allow Caps to read the folder where screenshots are saved. That access is used only to show your screenshots inside Caps. You can change it anytime in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

This website

caps.helloreadysetgo.com uses no cookies, analytics, or third-party scripts, and its fonts are hosted here too. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request information (like IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.
